Montreal, May 20, 2025 – Eureka, an established leader in decorative lighting solutions, is pleased to announce that its Velia, Cirra, and Junction luminaires have each received a Red Dot Design Award for Product Design. It is the 11th consecutive year that Eureka products have been honored with this prestigious award, which is a testament to the company’s consistency and relentless drive to design the best luminaires in the market. Eureka has now won a total of 23 Red Dot Awards.
Dating back to 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. Every year, the Red Dot Award for Product Design sets out to find the year’s best products. The Red Dot Jury is comprised of 40+ international experts from different specialties. Products selected by the Jury may be aesthetically pleasing, functional, sustainable, or innovative, but what they all have in common is the most outstanding designs.
Velia is a unique tubular luminaire with a sleek, modern look. The versatile family is offered in a variety of colors, textures, lengths, and configurations to meet diverse space aesthetics. Velia’s outer layer is a durable polycarbonate diffuser film with a smooth surface and three unique finishes. The interior film is offered in a choice of colors.
Cirra is a minimalist luminaire, featuring a sleek design and sound-absorbing material. Square, with soft, rounded edges, it creates a unique shape that adds a welcoming feel to modern spaces. A delicately thermoformed acrylic diffuser reduces glare, creating soft, direct illumination. It is available in 15”, 24”, or 35” diameters; the 35” version of Cirra delivers more than 16,000 lumens of direct lighting that is powerful yet comfortable. Pendants are also available with an optional uplight.
Symmetrical and minimalist, Junction is shaped by up to five linear arms that pivot around a central mast. Its open structure creates negative space around the mast, emphasizing an airy aesthetic that enhances a variety of large-scale spaces, from grand lobbies to reception areas. The distinctive, large-scale pendant can be configured in countless ways to create a distinctive chandelier. Arms may be selected in lengths of four, six, or eight feet.
The Eureka luminaires will be featured in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, and will be celebrated, with all award winners, during the Red Dot Award Ceremony on July 8, 2025 in Essen, Germany.
